First Zone Meeting

Monday, November 4, 2013

This week has been crazy. We had to go to the mission office on Monday for a choir practice because...D. Todd Christofferson is coming...no biggie...WOOOOOHWHOOOOOO! Anyway, then we had district meeting Tuesday. On Wednesday, we had to go back to the office to sign all our papers so that I can be in the country and we had to take an exam. I thought I was done with that for a year and a half, but nope. They want to know if I am learning what I am supposed to be doing. Lucky for me though, the test is more to see if my trainer is doing what she is supposed to do. I think she is doing okay, but you never know. Haha. Thursday is the day that we have our weekly planning meeting. It is just the two of us, but it really does take three hours. We plan who we are going to teach during the week and how we are going to get them to church, we have references and contacts that we decide who we will find, etc. It is really good, but takes a long time. Friday we had Zone Meeting. The moral of the story is that we didn't have a whole lot of time to teach this week. I feel kind of unproductive, but I don't think it could be helped.

I hope all is well with the family. All is well here. We have been finding lizards and scorpions in our house...kinda gross. Also, centipedes....they are so huge here!!! Seriously, the size of a hot dog...I won't lie. I am slightly afraid of them. How is home? How is basketball?  Oh! I have been in Paraguay for 6 weeks!!! That's a long time! It's a transfer! Crazy. I feel like I showed up yesterday. I really am loving it. Everyday there are ups and downs, but the members are awesome and the people are awesome.

This week when we had to go to the office to sign papers it was awesome! I got to see all the people from the MTC that flew over with me. It was so fun to see old (12 week old) friends. Again, I realized how lucky I am. I can honestly say that I think I was the happiest one there. Most of the others are hating life, hating companions, discouraged, etc. One of my comps from the MTC was actually supposed to go home. I think she had a flight and everything, but she decided to stick it out. My other MTC companion has been sick and has had days when they couldn't go out to work. It was crazy, a lot of the missionaries in my group said that they have had days when they or their companion was sick and they couldn't go out to work. We haven't even thought about being sick! Another one of my many blessings!  In truth, I think all these things have a lot to do with your attitude and perspective.  Another blessing, I think I have been blessed with a somewhat positive attitude, and I am thankful, it definitely makes things easier.

I am trying to send a somewhat large envelope with lots of letters that need to be mailed. It is super expensive to send each thing individually here, almost 5 dollars for a regular small letter, so I am sending them all together. I hope you will send them off for me. Anyway, no more time. Love ya! Hasta Proxima semana! Oh!!! and I am definitely not sure...but I think I can speak Spanish!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tell everyone I love them!
This is my zone!
We must have shopped at the same place!
I own both of the skirts these hermanas are wearing!
We just received new planners. It's a good thing, the old one was getting gross!
And this is my desk!
