The Church is True Everywhere

Dear Mom, Dad and the rest of the tribe, 
This week has been awesome in Paraguay, not too hot and not too cold, and it has been a very funny week. I made a list of things to write because I keep forgetting things. First, can you send me the recipe for banana bread and pancakes? Second, please tell Grandma Thacker thank you for her package! I finally got the last one and it had one that said, "Don't open til Valentines Day" underneath it said, "Just Kidding!" But it really wasn't a  joke, I opened it on Valentines Day! Haha! Oh Mom..... "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! YOU'RE SOOOOOO OLD"!" Just kidding! Que Jovencita! Oh, and how is Sarah? Next, please thank the following for their letters and packages... They were the best and my house smells awesome! Melissa, Shaynna, Channa, and Emmalee! Finally, this is a bit odd and has nothing to do with missionary work.... But there are thousands of dogs here. They are very obnoxious and they all have at one time or another been bred with a weiner dog....!

This week we had a lesson in the house of a member. They are less active and a little different. They have a daughter that is 17 and she had invited her friend over for a lesson. The friend is a really sweet girl. She´s 18 and studies a ton! Anyway, she had a really, really big test coming up and was really nervous. So, the mom says, "OH GREAT! I have an idea! The sister missionaries can give you a priesthood blessing!"....... Oh........ What to do in situations like this....? The daughter said, "No mom, remember? Girls don't have it!" .... Evidently, she also asked the bishop's wife to baptize her back in the day...... The church is true everywhere.... but it isn't quite the same.... but makes for a really good story!

Anyway, I am really sorry, but again I am out of time! I love you lots and will tell you about our baptism next week. Oh, and we have another one this week! The work is progressing.... slowly but surely.... I love you all and miss you more and more! Hasta Luego! -Hermana Thacker
