Heavenly Father Loves Each of Us!

Monday, February 3, 2014

MOM, DAD and Family, I miss you all! Last week, my companion was a bit of a stinker. She couldn't make up her mind, so we didn't get to email. But we did get to go and clean the temple again this week. It is so tiny...! Tell Mac-Attack Feliz Cumpliaños! AKA Happy Birthday. I loved the pictures Nelle sent of his fly-tying kit. I can't wait for him to take me fishing when I get home. Oh, and last week, I absolutely loved the update on the talk that Dad gave. IT was spectacular. I was also really sad to hear about Venae Larsen. I hope that everything is good with the rest of the ward.

This week was super great! We were super blessed. We taught a lot more lessons than usual and had a lot more people accept a baptismal date. We had 7, but only three came to church, so only three now. But they are all very amazing. Also, everyone is constantly complaining about the heat and saying that it is getting hotter and hotter, but I haven't felt it! I don't feel the heat and I haven't been affected by it as much. Heavenly Father loves me. Hermana Puma thinks she is going to die, but I feel great. Oh, other than evidently, your skin has pigments that show color. And for some people who are in the sun a lot these pigments get bleached and they have white spots forever. I have white spots... They're ugly, but not cancerous... don't worry! :- )

I don't remember if I have mentioned a lady we contacted on my very first day here, she has a son who is 11 and a member of 2 years. Anyway, she has always appeared to understand everything and feel the spirit, but we just couldn't get her to come to church or pick a baptismal date. We finally visited her on a day when her son wasn't there because we always teach them together. She told us that she was glad we were there because she needed to tell us that she couldn't be baptized because of things she had done. We told her it didn't matter, that it was possible, but she said "NO, I CAN'T BE BAPTIZED IN YOUR CHURCH!" We asked her to explain. Evidently, she was there for the interview of her son and knew that abortions were very, very bad and for this she knew she couldn't be baptized. When we told her that it was still possible, it just required different steps, there was so much happiness and hope in her eyes!! IT truly wasn't her fault, she was in the ugliest of situations, and right now she really is starting over! She has had a testimony all this time and just didn't think it was possible. I LOVE MY JOB! And I love you guys and I need to go. I am sorry about last week. I Love You!!!!
