More about Guarambare...

Monday, March 31, 2104

Hello Family, I hope all is well and things are warming up in Upalco. I am loving Guarambaré and trying to learn to love my companion... I will never call DaNelle princess ever again because now I know how a real princess is. Ay Ay AY! HaHa! Anyway, our branch is so tiny here. I know I keep saying it, but is so true! It is really different for me to only have 2.5 hours of studies and not 4 hours. We get a lot more done. It also helps that our area is really small. We can easily walk from one end to the other in 10-15 minutes. There is an elderly, married couple here on a mission and they are so sweet to us. They take us grocery shopping with them and to our conferences and they give me the tour of Paraguay and tell me about the geography. There are churches here like there are in Utah. Seriously, like one every 5 miles or less. It's crazy! Here in Guarambare, the biggest business is the sugar cane. There are fields and fields of sugar and many factories as well. We are finding lots of people to teach and they were already teaching lots. It's a town a little like Altamont and everyone is family, so when we find one... we find them all!!! Haha! I loved seeing all the pictures and I can't wait to tell you about all the people here. There is a woman that we teach named Librada. She is 60 ish and she has 10 children! They all play futbol and are crazy. Yesterday she was telling us about all her prayers that have been answered! It really is spectacular. Her daughter died for 2 hours and came back to life, she saw the missionaries in a dream, she was healed of cancer....The list goes on. I will give you more details next week! Love you all! Hermana Thacker
