The Lord Doesn't Balance His Books in October!

Happy anniversary! You two are getting on it years! Haha! What did you do? Hope no one broke an arm this year! Okay, my excuses are always good, but this week it's DaNelle´s fault your not getting a long detailed email.

We got two awesome ladies and a ton of kids to come to church this week. Ironically, they are both named Cynthia. Eight children...2 adults...lots of noise! But they are both awesome and really sweet.

Someone gave us BBQ ribs in a bag. They were delicious, but we were standing in the street, and he was drunk and he demanded we eat them before we could talk to his daughters! Anyway, I felt like a homeless child.... Not only eating in the middle of the road...but they made our fingers awfully dirty! 

Next, I read a story I really liked by one of the 12...don't remember which one. The story was called, "The Lord Doesn't Balance His Books in October". It was about two farmers with adjoining fields. One worked Sundays and chided the other that his field looked better and that he should be putting in 7 days a week too. The Sabbath keeping farmer told him he wanted to obey God and that he know he would receive blessings for doing so. Harvest time came, and the Sabbath breaking farmer had a beautiful crop, while the other man's looked a little shabby and neglected. The first farmer asked, "And what happened to all those blessings?" The Sabbath keeping farmer replied, "The Lord doesn't balance his books in October...."

We may not see the immediate blessings, even after doing all we can 6 days of the week, but if we are obedient, they will come! 

Anyway, Mariano is still awesome. He is such a good old man, he just keeps having the same trip up...And SHE's a member! Goodness gracious!
