PIKE?!

Monday, September 29, 2014

So this week was awesome. Everyone stood us up for church, but it was still great. Thursday we had divisions with the Sister Training Leaders...sooo...I got to work with Hermana Boley for the day. It was the best. Just like old times. We walked fast, taught a lot, and slept like rocks! We did have three less active families that we have been working with come. It was awesome.  Hermana Karen Duarte was baptized when she was 14, but now has 3 kids of her own. Her kids stayed for the classes this time and absolutely loved it! They are what will keep her active. She also loved the classes. Luckily, they were almost all on strengthening the family.

OH! I GOT PIKE! I have seriously wanted myself or one of my comps to get pike my whole mission. They are really common here. They are worms that crawl into your foot and you have to use a needle and rub it all around in your foot to make sure you get it all out or they will regrow...it was gross! Hermana Walker was a champ (she's done it a time or two) and got it out for me.

Mom you menitoned that you think you always say the same thing... Don't worry about it! I just love getting the update! I really can't even tell you how great it is to receive letters. It makes your week! Thanks for always writing and just being the best ever! LOVE YOU ALL!

(From McKayla's email to her dad...)
You guys have to send me pictures of conference and of elk season. Haha, remember the elk I shot... the elk version of Bambi....haha! Hope yours is a bit bigger! Who do you have working at the shop these days? Anyone that speaks Spanish?  Do you guys have lots of people who come in who speak Spanish? Have I mentioned that I think I like Spanish more than English? Way simpler....plus, when I do speak English my comp makes fun of me because I say things like... "You did / done good."  We are teaching a ton of people right now. I am dreading changes next week. I know my comp doesn't want to go and I don't either! We will see what happens. Love you!
Hermana Mick
