"It all fell out of the bun?"

Monday, November 17, 2014

Hey All, hope Hawaii went well and that everyone is enjoying the good life. It's funny to think, here all the kids just finished testing and are out for the summer this week! Haha! And you guys just started all over again.

This week was...I am not even sure if I should laugh, or cry, or be happy that it's over, or just spend all night journaling about the miracles! As my comp would say, "It all fell out of the bun," but I think that is what we needed. We did a lot of praying and a lot of depending. Our baptismal goal is four for this month and our district leader has been pushing and pushing and calling and calling and I had done everything that I knew how to do and nothing was working out. So we were out working, all our plans had fallen through and...yikes! So we decided to pray. We stopped in the middle of the street (the streets aren't very busy here) and we just prayed to find someone that could progress. So the prayer ended and I looked up and asked my comp what she thought? She looked over her shoulder and responded that we should go contact a group of 5-6 women that were walking up the street. So we did. We stopped them and it turns out half were members and half not and we have an appointment to go see them tonight. They accepted a baptismal date right there in the street!

Also, our leaders asked us to track down everyone from our ward list. So we've ended up not working in the area we usually work in. We have 2 investigators that live on a road that we basically pass by every single day, but we hadn't been over there. We had basically left them and stopped teaching them. But she called us Saturday night because she hadn't seen us all week and was worried. She told us to not stop coming and asked us to come share with her this week and she´ll come to church! Guess we just had to disappear to get her to remember us. Lastly, because we were working in a different area, an awesome part-member family that I had only found on one occasion drove past us in their car one night and then backed up like a whole block to invite us back to share with them. We have FHE tonight! So...It was kind of nasty, but it was preparation for the great week that we are going to have!

Anyway, I love you all sooo much! Loved the pictures. Sorry to hear about Fred´s thumb, but that is kind of awesome!! And what? Brielle is so not old enough (to date) and neither is Shea! And what is Mac drinking? He's huge! The world is changing over there!
Love Hermana Mick

Hermana's Flores, Thacker, Walker, and Line all live in the same apartment building.
